Dr. Héctor A. Ruiz and Jesus Velazquez were interviewed by national news – 2017

“The project consists of seeing the efficiency of a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain, its ability to metabolically transform sugars from microalgae starch into bioethanol, through the fermentation process, this in order to find alternative raw materials for the production of biofuels to embed it more in the industrial sector in the area of alcoholic fermentation ”, commented Rogelio Aranda Padilla, project collaborator and biotechnology engineering student at the Polytechnic University of Gómez Palacio, Durango.
