Bioethanol Technology Route Map

By

update · Events

The Biorefinery group participated in the development of the Bioethanol Technological Road Map published by the Secretary of Energy – 2018.

The purpose of the Technology Road Maps is to identify the challenges and barriers that the country faces for the sustainable use of renewable energies by 2030.

As part of the initiatives derived from the Energy Transition Law to strengthen the operation of the Mexican Centers for Energy Innovation (CEMIE), the Ministry of Energy, through the Energy Sustainability Fund, prepared the Technology Route Maps (MRT) for different renewable energies, including geothermal, ocean energy, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind and bioenergy.

MRTs are a support tool in strategic planning that allow guiding the definition of projects and initiatives focused on strengthening and generating the necessary technological capacities for the sustainable development of the renewable energy industry in Mexico, including aspects of infrastructure, specialized human resources , technological services, among others. The Maps present a series of strategic and enabling actions that are considered a priority to reach the installed capacity established with a vision for 2030, as well as a set of specific activities proposed to solve them, involved actors and estimated deadlines for their execution.
