Beneficial properties of Mexican macroalgae through hydrogels

Dr. Rosy Rodríguez  and Dulce Gabriela Argüello were interviewed by national news – 2017.

Regarding the scientific importance, these hydrogels have certain characteristics that make them applied in various fields, mainly in food. Regarding the social impact, it is a product that can be considered a biopolymer. So, instead of using artificial additives, use those of natural origin, in addition to the fact that, in the case of this project that uses Mexican macroalgae, it has a social and economic impact, it gives more opportunities on how to use this marine product.
